David Tudehope, CEO and Co-founder of Macquarie Telecom Group, a large Australian cloud, data management, cyber security and telecom enterprise, in a series of video presentations and interviews about industry and customer leadership, how to become the best in the world for customer services, and about the ways to encourage more millennials into the business.


David Tudehope founded Macquarie Telecom in 1992 as a provider of voice services, guiding the company’s development to become a fully integrated carrier; supplying voice, mobile, data networks & managed hosting solutions to business & government users in Australia & Asia. Over the last two decades, he has championed telecommunications regulatory issues & strived for more competitive outcomes to benefit Australian customers. In addition, some positions held by him within industry bodies include Director of the Service Providers’ Industry Association (SPAN) from 1996-1999. He was also a member of the IT & the Arts Information Economy Advisory Council under the Minister for Communication.

David Tudehope is currently a Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce and a graduate of the University of NSW – currently on the UNSW Business Advisory Council. In October 2007, he also completed the Senior Executive stream of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP).

In 2012, David was selected by Australian Prime Minister to become a member of the B20 group representing the IT/Telco sector, leading engagement with G20 governments on behalf of the international business community.

In 2018, David Tudehope was named Australian Communications Ambassador for helping shape the competitive, regulatory and consumer environment of the telecommunications industry in Australia.

In 2020, David was awarded World Communication Awards CEO of the Year for 2020 and Macquarie Telecom Group was awarded Best Customer Experience in the World.
