October Sun defines its genre as indie pop. The band was founded in 2010 by vocalist Gwyn Thomas (born in the UK) and bassist Gleb Korneev. In their creative work, musicians mix their tastes from different parts of the world.

… The band’s repertoire is so extensive that it’s difficult to classify them into any one genre. However, October Sun is memorable for its melodic riffs.
The band performed in 2014 at the FIFA fan festival in Saransk, which will be one of the host cities for the 2018 World Cup, in front of 10,000 people, as well as at a private party for the organizing committee of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games. Currently, says Gwyn Thomas, the band is in negotiations with the organizers of music festivals both in Russia and in Europe (England, Serbia).
In addition, October Sun is working on recording an album, which will be released in the fall of 2015. The record is being created in collaboration with talented Russian composers.
Working in large companies, according to the top manager, helps to establish contacts and find places to perform at corporate parties. Given the band members’ other commitments, they manage to set aside 3-4 hours a week for rehearsals.
October Sun has performed at the New Year’s party of Sanoma Independent Media, the Rosinka complex, Shell, etc. “At corporate events, they usually ask us to perform covers, since we are still an unknown band. But we try to include our own songs in the program,” Thomas said.
